Cadillac Escalade Goes to College

Are you starting to think with the ever increasing tuition prices that College may no longer be all that its cracked up to be. Well in Florida, college is now worth its weight in a brand new Cadillac Escalade

What could all of this extra tuition possible be going towards? The State College of Florida has put it to use with $71,000 vehicles that they are picking up for officials to use on college business trips. Does this irritate students? Absolutely, since tuition just "escalated" 8% .

For the record, the specific vehicle is a 2011 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid four-wheel-drive SUV with V8 engine, known as "the world's only full-size luxury hybrid SUV." It comes with a price tag of $71,685? and that of course is before taxes.

Trustee Dr. Craig Trigueiro, a Bradenton physician, said by law he could not comment on the specific transaction. He did say that in general he would "closely watch financial matters." "One of the charges the governor gave me was to not only give the students the best education they could possibly get, but do so at the best possible cost to the taxpayers," Triguiero added.1

We are wondering if he knew enrollment numbers are down by 15%. The positive in the situation is that it will not be $70,000 straight out of the college's budge, as they plan to trade in their 2008 Lexus hybrid, with an estimated $27,000 to put towards the Cadillac's cost.

We are there for more people than just the colleges.  Ask about our great deals on new and used cars for first time drivers and college students at Cadillac of Novi - 1350 Grand River Ave in Novi, MI.
