Cadillac ATS Goes To College

Cadillac ATS is schoolin' all you drivers. Before the new flagship sedan makes it debut at the Detroit Auto Show in January, and well before it drops at Cadillac of Novi - 41350 Grand River Ave in Novi, MI, ATS will introduce itself to college life.

Plans to reveal the ATS luxury vehicle at the Detroit College for Creative Studies on January 8th were announced recently. If you're keeping track - that is one day prior to 2012's North American International Auto Show opening.

Why should a Cadillac reveal itself at a college? For starters, General Motors donated to the school's 2009 renovation, $145-million-dollars worth. But the true reason is an auto makers love of unveiling cars in unique locations - just ask Cadillac spokesperson David Caldwell:

"Sometimes it can be a little bit refreshing to step outside of the box. We can also do a few things there that we can't do as part of a traditional exhibit."1

ATS will make its way over to Cadillac dealers by the summer of 2012. The vehicle will be produced at GM's Lansing Grand River assembly plant. The company has hired 600 new workers for ATS production alone. GM; creating jobs, and supporting our schools - maybe Cadillac ATS should run for President in 2012.
